Description
The successor to the respected GP-6 series, Arai's oldest and most successful GP model, the new GP-7 model is now available. It meets the new Snell SA2020 standard as well as FIA 8859-2015 homologation. A complex laminate construction with Arai's patented peripheral belt has been used for additional reinforcement, providing the best characteristics for the shell's rebound ability. The rounded, soft, and strong outer layer is a characteristic that all Arai helmets possess. This energy-shedding ability works in conjunction with the helmet's absorption capacity to maximize protection gains. Impact energy that doesn't enter the helmet doesn't have to be managed. This leaves more of the helmet's energy-absorbing liner to manage what impact energy reaches the helmet. The Arai one-piece multi-density EPS inner liner combined with the PB-cLc outer shell has created an unparalleled helmet design. Varying EPS densities are seamlessly blended into a single, uniformly thick liner that matches the smooth contours of the shell and the organic shape of the rider's head for a comfortable helmet with great visibility and glare control. Facial Contour System (FCS-2) cheek pads provide an incredibly comfortable, yet supportive fit that cradles your cheeks and gently wraps under your jaw to reduce lift and limit noise intrusion from below. Optional cheek pad sizes are available to help customize the fit to your specific needs. FHR M6 threaded anchors are positioned inside the helmet for easy installation of optional FHR post mounts if required. The GP-7 also features a removable center chin bar for easily installing a drinking system. The GP-7 (FRP) looks identical to the SRC version as it was manufactured using the same tooling and comes with 7 white vent ducts on top, two TDF3 ducts at the front, three tear ducts in the middle, and one XDB duct at the rear. This optimizes airflow and keeps your head cool while riding. A new Variable Axis System (VAS) shield pivot mechanism has been incorporated to lower the shield pivot point while still allowing the shield to fully open and clear the shell. New low profile pivot screws are used, requiring the use of a T20 Torx wrench, which is included for your convenience.
